I had heard of malaria but never thought it would affect my family. The home visits and education we received from the community health workers helped us understand how to prevent it. I’m so grateful for the support from H4BF—my children are healthy, and I now know how to protect them.

In the Donga Mantung region, Amina, a single mother of three, received a solar lamp through our Clean Energy for All program. Before the lamp, Amina struggled to study at night, often falling behind in her small-scale business. Today, she is able to provide better care for her children, manage her business more efficiently, and educate her children after dark, thanks to the solar light.

We’re excited to share the incredible success of Mboh Eugen Khan, one of our students from the CameroonRenewED program! After receiving specialized training in clean energy, he has secured his first contract and is already putting his skills to work. Even better—he’s bringing along fellow students to help accomplish this project, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. 🌿💡

Raise Your Helping Hand

The ongoing conflict in Cameroon’s North West Region has led to the displacement of thousands of individuals, especially women and children. These displaced populations face grave risks as they flee unsafe areas, often traveling long distances through forests and unsafe terrain, without access to basic necessities such as food, water, and medical care. Sadly, many displaced women and children are subjected to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), as they are forced to exchange their dignity for basic survival needs. To combat these challenges, H4BF, with the support of the SERRA Foundation, organized a training program for 10 women who were displaced by the conflict. The training provided them with business skills and grants, equipping them with the tools they need to regain control over their lives and build economic opportunities. This initiative represents a significant step towards empowering women and girls, enabling them to break the cycle of dependency and violence.
